Scores of protesters under the auspices of the Guardians of Democracy and Development Initiative (GDDI) yesterday took to the streets of Abuja, in the FCT, to demand the sack of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj-Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd) along with the Minister of Defence Minister, Maj-Gen. Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd) for alleged incompetence.

Their spokesman, Comrade Danesi Momoh, during the protest, told President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the duo with immediate effect.
Flanked by the Co-convener of the group, Igwe Ide-Umanta, Momoh said: “We wish to start with the statement credited to the National Security Adviser himself, Maj-Gen. Babagana Monguno, where he was quoted as saying people are getting tired and are beginning to gravitate to other means of self-help.
“The truth is that Nigerians are not just getting tired; we are suffocated, frustrated, threatened, apprehensive, and completely uncertain about our safety and that of our loved ones.
“We cannot continue this way, and both the NSA and the Minister of Defence know that”, he further said.
