First Republic Aviation Minister, Elder Mbazulike Amaechi, has vowed that Ndigbo can never be slaves to anyone in Nigeria.
He made this statement during an interview with the
British Broadcasting Corporation, (BBC) Pidgin service.
His words: “Because their anger concerning how the country is going made IPOB to start agitating for independence. In other parts of the world, those asking to govern themselves are given plebescite let them vote to know if truly they want independent.
According to him, “IPOB is asking for referendum and the government is adamant to it, and also not ready to give them their right as part of Nigerians.
“You can’t beat a child and ask him not to cry, he stated.
When a people, as part of a union, say they are not happy with the union like the Biafra agitators are doing and embark on protest against the union, the people should be allowed to decide their faith whether to belong or not, it was done in Great Britain, he stated.
