I did not loot Kaduna treasury el-Rufai

Begs Tinubu to compensate him by supporting his candidate for Reps. Speaker

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai, has said that he did not loot Kaduna treasury to buy a house in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), just like some other governors did.

Speaking during a Hausa radio programme in Kaduna, the Governor threatened to expose former governors of the State who allegedly left a big hole in the accounts of the State Treasury.

According to him, he had one house in Unguwan Sarki when he became governor, and that it is still the only house he has.

He warned that if they continued to talk, he would have no choice than to tell the world how they looted the money meant for development in the State and ferried some to UAE and other metropolitan capitals of Europe and America where they allegedly acquired properties.

In a related development, the Governor have appealed to the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to support the emergence of Hon. Abbas Tajuddeen, the Iyan Zazzau, as next Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.

Hon. Tajuddeen, of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), represents Zaria Federal constituency and is the House Committee Chairman, Land Transport.

Governor El-Rufai, who spoke to party supporters in Zaria, said his wish was to see Hon. Tajuddeen occupying the number one seat in the House of Representatives.
