A man, named Musa Abari, was shot dead when suspected kidnappers invaded his home in Kasada village, in Kuje local area council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and kidnapped his wife, Hulaira, and five others.

According to reports, the gunmen arrived the village in large numbers at around 11.30 p.m. on Monday, equipped with AK-47 rifles, and began firing sporadically. The shooters allegedly forced their way into the houses of the residents.
The deceased man was alleged to have been trying to stop the gunmen from taking his wife when he was shot in the chest, leading to his death.
After kidnapping the woman, the gunmen went to neighbouring residences and abducted five more people before fleeing back into the jungle.
The FCT Police Command has yet to respond to this latest development.
