#EndSARS protests: S/East leaders affirm commitment to a united Nigeria

Ø  Ask FG to look into demands of youths

South-East leaders have pledged their commitment to an indivisible and united Nigeria “built on love, fairness, equity and justice”.

They announced the resolution on Saturday at a meeting in Enugu, through a communique issued at the end of the meeting with a presidential delegation to the region, led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari. 

During the meeting, which lasted for several hours, the governors and leaders appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to consider the various demands of stakeholders of the region for its development, peace, and security. 

The leaders and stakeholders also appealed to the Federal Government to look into the demands of youths with the aim of solving them.

The communiqué was read at the end of the meeting by Gov. David Umahi, of Ebonyi State, who is the chairman of the South-East Governors Forum, 

Members of the delegation include the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, all ministers from the South-east and the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu. 

Meanwhile, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alh. Lai Mohammed, has described as “extremely fruitful” the meeting which a presidential team had with leaders and stakeholders of the South-East.
