Orders withdrawal of orderlies attached to others
The Inspector-General of Police, (IGP) Mohammed Adamu, has warned that the Force will not tolerate a repeat of the recent attacks, looting, and destruction of properties in several parts of the country.
Adamu’s warning was contained in a statement issued yesterday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba. The IGP, he said, affirmed that the Force will not tolerate a repeat of the horrendous attacks and killings, arson and wanton destruction, and looting of public and private assets witnessed during the recent violent protests in some parts of the country.
While noting that 22 policemen were gruesomely murdered and 26 civilians were injured following the #EndSARS protests and the violence that emanated therefrom, the Force spokesman lamented that a total of 51 civilian fatalities and 37 injuries were recorded, while 205 police stations, corporate facilities, and private property were attacked, burnt or vandalized.
The IGP also ordered the immediate withdrawal of police personnel attached to billionaire businessman, Emeka Offor; former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode; some clerics and companies across the country.

This was also contained in a letter addressed to Commissioners of Police, Police Mobile Force, Special Protection Unit and all Commissioners of Police in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), by the IGP.
Recall that the police boss had in a police wireless message dated October 21, 2020, addressed to all state Commissioners of Police ordered them to immediately withdraw the personnel attached to individuals, warning that “any commander who violates this order will bear the consequences.”
