A investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, has disclosed that a total of €63 million was allegedly paid to secure the release of over 200 Kaduna school children recently abducted.
Olunloyo made this revelation through her official Facebook page.
Recall that the State Governor, Uba Sani, had announced the release of the victims yesterday morning, sparking relief across the nation.
President Bola Tinubu has also commented on this development.
With the current exchange rate standing at €1 to ₦1,587.905, Olunloyo’s claim puts the ransom at a staggering ₦100,038,015,000.
“Don’t let anyone fool you,” she added.
When contacted for response to the allegation, the State Government was unable to respond as of press time.
