…Accuses American/Jewish ownership of local content breaches

The Spokesman of Kano Concerned Citizens Initiative, (KCCI), in a Press Statement has called in National Security and Regional Economic Interest on the Federal and Kano State Governments to nationalise and take over the control of the Arewa24 TV channel’s illegal operations in Kano, accusing its American Jewish ownership and Nigerian operators of “serious breaches”.
“He said in view of serious breaches (and) with a view to saving this highly strategic company, stated. “This measure is in line with the vision of the President Bola Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Nigeria First Policy’ and the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Local Content and Community Empowerment Policy to the host communities.
The Initiative alleged that under Arewa24 ownership and management, are involved in Grave Economic and Financial Crimes of alleged capital flight, tax evasions, sharp practices and money-laundering on Hausa content production on Nigeria’s commercial advertising market and the indigenous broadcast business in the commercial state of Kano is alarming, as in excess of $5million US Dollars per annum.
According to him, presently, they are operating Illegally in Kano.
