Concerned Citizens Ask Tinubu To Sack Nigerian Postal Service Boss, Tola Odeyemi, for Negligence of Duty

A group, The Concerned Citizens, have ask President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sack the Nigerian Postal Service, (NIPOST) Postmaster- General, Tola Odeyemi, because of the negligence of duty.

The group, in an issued press statement yesterday, said the abandonment of primary assignment of NIPOST by the current Chief Executive Officer triggered their cry-out.

They stated that the current Postmaster- General abandoned the NIPOST mandate of Mail Conveyance/Delivery Local & International, which caused the decayance of thousands of items at different Agency’s Postal outlets.

According to the group, under the leadership of Comrade AbdulWahab Tajuddeen, called the attention of Tinubu administration to take a decisive action against the Postmaster-General for a better service delivery, locally & internationally, by NIPOST

The Concerned Citizens said the new CEO is spending more than a week without coming to office, despite the fact that she didn’t travel to anywhere.

The group added that the current Postmaster-General, Odeyemi, hired about six Personal Assistants (PAs), and privately barricading any individual willing to make an official engagement with her, including the agency’s staff & Directors.

Another source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the NIPOST boss is always bringing a personnel of the Department of State Security Services, (DSS), into the official meeting with management, which, according to him, is a clear threat to the participants.
