Former Senate President, Sen. Bukola Saraki and his sister who is the Minister of State for Transport, Gbemisola Saraki, have reunited at a memorial program in honour of their late father, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki.
In a video clip trending on social media, they were both seen exchanging pleasantries, as a show of their renewed relationship. It was reported that Bukola Saraki was received by a mammoth crowd earlier in the day, upon his arrival into the state.
Recall that Bukola and Gbemisola Saraki have had a frosty relationship since the former blocked the attempt of Gbemisola to become the Governor of Kwara state after him. Gbemisola had moved to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ensured the defeat of Bukolas Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2019 Kwara gubernatorial poll, in a movement tagged Oto ge.
Soon after this, Gbemisola was appointed as a Minister in the second-term cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari.
