The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has arrested Hafsat Ganduje, wife of Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje over alleged land fraud.
Hafsat was said to have been arrested in Abuja after her failure to respect the invitation of the EFCC on September 13, 2021 following a petition by her son Abdull-Azeez Ganduje who alleged his mother was involved in land fraud running into millions of naira.
The Kano First Lady was said not to have honoured the anti graft agency’s invitation due to her trip to United Kingdom to attend one of her son’s graduation.
