Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, of Borno State, has taken a step towards supporting wounded soldiers by allocating a relief fund of 10 million naira for their benefit.
The decision to provide this assistance comes as a direct follow-up to a commitment made by Governor Zulum two months ago during a Sallah celebration hosted the Chief of Army Staff, by Major-General Taoreed Lagbaja.
The formal announcement of the relief package was conveyed by Borno States Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman A. Tar, in collaboration with the Permanent Secretary of the Government House, Barrister Mustapha Ali Busuguma.
The message was officially conveyed to the GOC 7 Div. Maiduguri, Major-General Peter Malla, who accepted the fund on behalf of the Theatre Commander of ‘Operation Hadin Kai’.
