The senior pastor of the Family Worship Centre (FWC), Sarah Omakwu, has cautioned her congregation against watching the on-going Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show.
In a now-viral video, the Abuja-based pastor also queried Christians watching the show, adding that the BBNaija show doesnt contribute to your spiritual growth.
The fiery cleric claimed that the reality show is satanic and a deliberate attempt by the devil to wear out the spiritual defence of Christians.
It has been brought to my attention that some of our members in the family worship center and Christians, in general, are watching the on-going Big Brother Nigeria programme”, she said.
So, let me start by asking you a few questions. Will Jesus watch Big Brother Nigeria?. Is the Holy Spirit happy to sit with you and watch the programme? Or has he cautioned you a few times and decided to leave you?
I want you to know that Satan is strategic. He is deliberate and patient. I doubt that the Big Brother project was planned in Heavens boardroom. It means it was planned outside of God”.
Omakwu also claimed that the purpose of the show transcends entertainment, adding that it is an effective tool used by Satan to influence the minds of the public.
Omakwus admonishment comes a few days after the general overseer of Shekina Area Gospel Ministry, Gospel Agochukwu, said Christians who watch the reality TV show are killing themselves spiritually.
