APC rejects Wike’s bid to join party, citing 8 years of terror

The Rivers State chapter of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) has opposed the inclusion of former governor Nyesom Wike in their ranks, alleging that he terrorised the party throughout his eight-year tenure.

In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Darlington Nwauju, it was made clear that Wike’s previous actions rendered him unwelcome within the APC.

Referring to him as an adversary, Nwauju stated, “The terror unleashed upon our party members during his maximum rulership of eight years alone serves as undeniable evidence that Wike has no place in Rivers State APC.”

He went on to express concern over Wike’s purported attempts to evade justice for the alleged misappropriation of Rivers State’s resources, which Nwauju claimed was the primary motivation behind his recent courtship of influential APC members.

“For those who may suffer from amnesia, it is imperative to note that a non-APC member cannot become an advocate for Wike’s induction into the party,” added Nwauju.
