Zamfara State governor, Bello Matawalle, has sacked all his Special Advisers of their appointments.

This was contained in a statement released yesterday by the Acting Secretary to the State Government and Head of Service, Kabiru Balarabe.
Matawalle said the governor’s decision is in line with his recent defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Recall that Governor Matawalle dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), to the APC penultimate Tuesday, after several months of speculation, saying he defected in order to bring peace to Zamfara State.
However, Balarabe, in his statement, said the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Security, Mamman Tsafe, was not affected by the development.
The SSG directed all the affected Special Advisers to hand over the affairs of their respective offices and any government property under them to their directors-general or accounting officers.
Balarabe also extended the governor’s appreciation to them for their contributions towards the development of the State.
Recall that the governor had in May dissolved the State Executive Council. However, on June 8, he re-appointed three commissioners and three board chairmen.
