APC confirms upload to INEC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the successful upload of all its candidates for the 2027 general elections to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Candidate Nomination portal.

The submission includes the presidential ticket of President Bola Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima, as well as the party’s 109 senatorial candidates and 360 House of Reps.’ candidates.

Announcing the development yesterday, APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, described the successful upload as a testament to the party’s organisational capacity and preparedness for the forthcoming elections.

In an issued statement at the weekend, Yilwatda congratulated the party’s candidates, leaders and members, noting that the process was completed successfully before the nomination portal closed. “I congratulate our candidates, leaders and members of the APC on the successful 100 per cent upload of our presidential, vice-presidential, Senate and House of Representatives candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP)”, he said.

He added that with the nomination process concluded, the party’s attention would now shift to grassroots mobilisation and campaign activities ahead of the polls. “With this milestone achieved, our focus now shifts to mobilisation and preparations for a successful campaign and decisive victory at the polls”, Yilwatda stated.

The development follows weeks of internal party activities, including the conduct of primary elections and the resolution of petitions arising from the candidate selection process, paving the way for the APC’s participation in the 2027 general elections.
