…Warns defecting PDP Govs. of political danger

A high-ranking chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Sylvester Moniedafe, has raised strong concerns over the party’s current political direction, warning that the ruling party is inadvertently empowering its opposition, the African Democratic Congress, (ADC).

Speaking during an appearance on Liberty TV’s flagship programme: ‘PoliticsNOW’, yesterday, Moniedafe criticised the process that produced the new APC National Chairman, describing it as flawed and lacking transparency.

He cautioned that such missteps could deepen internal divisions and weaken the party’s chances in the 2027 general elections.

Moniedafe also sounded the alarm over the recent wave of defections from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC. He advised the defecting governors to be cautious, suggesting that President Bola Tinubu could turn against them if he secures a second term.

He further stressed that unless President Tinubu urgently refocuses his administration on addressing the needs of ordinary Nigerians, he risks losing both credibility and support heading into 2027.
