4 ISWAP Terrotists killed in attempt to attack Zulum’s town

Troops of the Nigeria military on Tuesday took out four out of the numerous ISWAP fighters that attempted attacking a village in Governor Babagana Zulums local government area, Mafa.

Sources familiar with the incident said the attackers came at about 6:30pm driving in six gun trucks with an obvious mission to sack the community where government of Nigeria and the United Nations systems had built over 1000 units of resettlement homes for persons internally displaced by Boko Haram.

Troops of the 195 Battalion Operation Hadin Kai located in Jere, a nearby local government headquarters received an order to deploy to the trouble area where they tackled the armed terrorists.

The troops engaged the terrorists in gun battle and eliminated some of them, a military source who earlier spoke said.

As of now, we have counted four corpses of the invaders as we are still pursuing them and tracking the trail of bullet injury-bleeding in the bush” he added.

This is happening at a time the Borno state government has given a December 31, 2021 deadline for the relocation of all IDPs living in Camps to their ancestral homes.

Boko Haram, a terrorists organisation animated by extreme religious teachings whose sustained quest to destroy every definition of humanity for a skewed belief of attaining blissfull eternity, has caused the death of thousand of lives and displaced over 2.5 million persons in the last 12 years.
