Ahead of the 2027 Presidential election, ex-Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufa’i, and his former aide, Jimi Lawal , paid a visit to the national secretariat of the Social Democratic Party, (SDP), in Abuja for a Consultation meeting with its National Chairman, Shehu Musa Gaban.
According to the source, El-Rufa’i who may be on his out of the All Progressives Congress (APC),
Gabam described El-Rufa’i as a friend with high political pedigree, adding that Nigeria needed transformational leaders like him.
The source hinted that El-Rufa’i was received by the members of the National Working Committee, (NWC), of the Party.
Recall that El-Rufa’i has been paying consultation visits to some notable politicians across political parties in recent times as a build up to the 2027 General Election.
