2027: “Northern youths are slipping away” – Primate Ayodele warns Tinubu

Ayodele warns Tinubu

Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a blunt political warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the President’s support base in Northern Nigeria (especially among the youth) is far weaker than many around him are pretending.

While this development was reported yesterday, the core warning itself traces to Ayodele’s public statement released on March 24, 2026 through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin.

Ayodele’s argument is simple and politically explosive: Tinubu is being deceived about the North. According to him, those close to the President are allegedly feeding him false confidence ahead of the 2027 presidential election, while the real mood in the region is more skeptical, fragmented, and potentially hostile than his handlers admit.

He also argued that symbolic mobilisations such as the “City Boy Movement” and the influence of Seyi Tinubu would not be enough to win over the North without deeper grassroots political work and strategic engagement with traditional, religious, and political power blocs.

He warned that if the youth in that region are truly drifting away, 2027 may become far more difficult for Tinubu than his loyalists want to admit.
