The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections, Atiku Abubakar, has said his party is conscious of its past mistakes and willing to correct them if given the mandate.

He stated this in Gombe State while speaking in an interview, adding that the party is willing to correct its past mistakes by making Nigeria a prosperous country.
Though the former Vice-President was not categorical about the partys mistakes while ruling the country from 1999 to 2015, he stated however that his party remains a very strong opposition that can win the forthcoming election.
According to him, Nigerians still rate the PDP higher than the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) if compared in terms of performance.
A member of Atikus campaign in Gombe, Dr. Ahmed Gana, said the PDP members in the State were extremely happy with Atikus visit.
Atiku was in Gombe State to officially commission the Atiku/Okowa Presidential campaign office and cars in Gombe State that was donated by Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, who was defeated at the PDP Governorship primary election by Mohammed Jibrin Barde.
