Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), says anyone who gets into politics should be prepared for betrayal.

Speaking at a banquet he hosted in Port-Harcourt, the Rivers state capital on Sunday, Wike said politics and betrayal “are from the same parents”.
The immediate-past governor of Rivers said anyone who cries to him that they have been betrayed, after they are gone, he settles down to a good whiskey. “You must have shock absorbers; that’s the only way you can survive. That’s why some of you who are always crying… if you want to survive in life, you must have a shock absorber”, he stated.
“President Tinubu, when we met, told me: ‘look, politics and betrayal are the same mother and father’. If you don’t want to be betrayed, don’t enter into politics. Don’t bother that anybody betrayed you. Prepare yourself that it will happen. So, when I see some of you (mimics crying), saying: ‘I can’t believe this happened’; immediately you go, I find one good whiskey and drink…to me, this one is not prepared. I am fully prepared. That is what President Tinubu taught me.”, he stated.
The Minister’s comments came weeks after him and Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers, agreed to resolve their rift.
Both men were at loggerheads over issues concerning the state. However, they seemingly agreed to end the feud after Tinubu intervened.
