We’ve solutions to all health challenges – Traditional Medicine Practitioners tells FG

The National Association of Nigeria Traditional Medicine Practitioners of Nigeria (NANTMP) has claimed to have the cure to all life threatening diseases, including Coronavirus, which is ravaging the world. 

The association made the claim in Abuja at a meeting of all the National Executives who emerged after an election conducted on the 3rd of December, 2020 at the Federal Ministry of Health.

National President of the association, Dr. Ibrahim Dada Nakowa said there was no need for Nigerians to spend millions of naira on medical tourism while all solutions to health challenges lie in traditional herbs, stressing that all that the Traditional Medicine Practitioners needed was to get the adequate support from the federal government.

“There is nothing you can do on this earth without a sound health. God has given us herbs and roots to cure all forms of diseases in the world; all that we need to do is to take advantage of this God given gifts to humanity,” Dr. Nakowa said.

While reacting to the Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the world, Dr. Dada Nakowa, who claimed to have a permanent cure to the disease, described the pandemic as a spiritual attack on the world that also needed spiritual forces to arrest the situation.

“This Coronavirus pandemic is nothing serious. It only requires spiritual intelligence to handle the situation. There is no way one can get a cure to this pandemic in the hospital because it is spiritual. Before God inflicts a nation with a pandemic, he has already made available the remedy. This is nothing before God. Let government give us support, by God grace, we shall surmount all the challenges,” he claimed.

Dr. Ibrahim Dada Nakowa enjoined all Traditional Medicine Practitioners to identify with the association which is now under the Federal Ministry of Health.

Also, Chief Dr. Ezeugu Hyacinth, the associations Vice President, South East, Chief Dr. Patrick Ebason, Vice President, South -South and Dr. Adewunmi Ishola, who is the board Chairman, all attested to the fact that traditional medicine plays a very  pivotal role in the treatment of various health challenges.

They however appealed to members to support the newly elected executives led by its National Chairman, Dr. Ibrahim Dada Nakowa in order for the association to move forward in achieving all her set goals and objectives.

Meanwhile, the national body of the association has dissolved all the state officials operating in the 36 states of the federation. 

This was contained in a communiqu signed by its National Chairman, Dr. Nakowa alongside his Secretary, Dr. Bamidele Fatayo.

According to the communiqu, “In accordance with the Constitution of the Association, the State and Local Government election shall also be conducted in five weeks from 21st Jan, 2021. Sequel to the development, all the zonal Vice Chairmen are to provide the list of 3 delegates from each Local Government in their zone three weeks from the date of the receipt of this letter.”
