The paramount ruler and Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, has expressed confidence that the administration of President Bola Tinubu would take the country to the Promised Land.
Oba Adetona stated this was when he hosted Tinubu at his palace in Ogun State for the President’s first official state visit after being sworn-in.
Addressing the President, the monarch said, “I believe you (Tinubu) will take us to the Promised Land. You will prosper. I will have to thank you. We are happy because you are our President. Our security has improved and I no longer hear of attacks and death”.
“Let’s keep praying so that God will continue to support him. He will have a second term”, the monarch informed dignitaries at the visit.
Speaking, President Tinubu thanked the citizens for casting their votes for him notwithstanding the hardship.
He described Oba Adetona glowingly, saying, “You are no longer Baba NADECO, you are now the President’s father. Few people can emulate your courage, your steadfastness and your frankness. I just came to say thank you. I made a promise before the primary that I will come back. We thank God this is happening while you are alive”.
The paramount ruler wished Tinubu well and prayed for the success of his government.
