President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to host three thousand (3,000) Nigerian youths as they converge on the Presidential Villa, Abuja, for the second edition of the Progressive Young Leaders Summit, PYLS 2024.

This announcement was made on Friday, in an issued statement released to newsmen by the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel.
The 3-day event, themed: Shaping the Future We Want: From Restiveness to Inclusion, Action, and Development, will be held from September 3rd to 5th, 2024, and will be officially opened by Vice-President, Kashim Shettima.
According to the APC chieftain, the summit, organised by the ruling APC in collaboration with the Office of the APC National Youth Leader, is dedicated to channelling the energy and aspirations of young Nigerians towards building a future that embodies their collective dreams.
He said that the summit, with a communiqu to be delivered to President Tinubu at the end of the event, will bring together a distinguished gathering of Nigerian public and private sector leaders, government officials, policy-makers, and dynamic young executives. He added that the event aims to bridge the gap between youth and government, foster intergenerational dialogue, and provide a platform for young Nigerians to actively engage with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.
Israel described the summit, expected to be attended by over 3,000 participants from across the nation, as a crucial step in ensuring that the voices of young Nigerians are not only heard but also play a vital role in shaping the nations development agenda.
He noted that President Tinubu and Vice-President Shettimas personal involvement underscores their unwavering commitment to youth inclusion and empowerment.
According to Israel, By tapping into the passion and innovative spirit of young Nigerians, this Summit aims to shape a New Nigeria that truly reflects the aspirations of the next generation. We believe this event will inspire young people to take ownership of the Renewed Hope Agenda and work collectively towards its realisation”.
