Plateau Killings: Gov. re-imposes 24-hour curfew in Mangu LGA

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on the Mangu local government area of the State. The Governor stated this yesterday in an issued statement signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere. It was learnt that the 24-hour curfew followed recent attacks by gunmen in the council area which led to the loss of lives and properties. Plateau lawmakers beg victims to forgive attackers

Members of the Plateau State House of Assembly have appealed to the victims of Jos killings to forgive their attackers. The lawmakers visited the displaced victims of the Yelwa Zangam community of Jos North Local Government Area in hospital on Saturday. The lawmakers’ visit was led by the speaker, Abok Ayuba. Ayuba said the House was against the “killing of people in the state in whatever guise”. Eight persons, including a policeman and a vigilante, have been killed in Mangu local government area of Plateau State, Eons Intelligence has gathered. The spokesman of the State Police Command, Ubah Ogaba, confirmed the Mangu killings in a statement in Jos on Tuesday. Plateau: Gunmen kill village head, three others in fresh attack

Gunmen suspected to be herders on Monday night attacked Wereng community in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing six people including a crowned Prince of the village. The lawmaker representing Riyom State constituency, Timothy Dangtong told journalists about the attack.
