A court in Pakistan on Monday indicted former Prime Minister Imran Khan for leaking the content of a classified diplomatic cable, his party said. He said this amid mounting legal challenges for the jailed leader ahead of national elections. A court in Pakistan on Thursday acquitted a Christian couple who spent eight years on death row after a conviction on blasphemy charges. A defence lawyer said, in a rare judgment welcomed by rights bodies. Pakistan on Monday launched a vaccination drive against polio to cover the immunity gap caused by COVID-19 pandemic related disruptions to the programme aimed at eradicating the disease. The five-day immunisation drive, the third such national campaign so far in 2020, will see over 39 million children under the age of five vaccinated.
