The Nigeria Electricity Management Services Agency, the Federal Government agency mandated to certify electricity meters imported into the country have been directed by the President, Muhammadu Buhari to ensure the installation of 36 million meters nationwide by June 2021. The Senate has queried the Ministry of Power over the sum of N7 billion smuggled into its budget without an appropriation from the National Assembly.
