Some unknown gunmen have reportedly abducted dozens of female students during an attack on Federal College Of Forestry Mechanisation in Birnin Gwari LGA, Kaduna State. According to a resident, the attack occurred in the early hours of today, Friday. The school is less than 15 kilometers to the Nigerian Defence Academy, (NDA), in Kaduna. Nigeria rescues 14 kidnapped sailors in Gulf of Guinea

Fourteen sailors kidnapped by pirates were rescued on Saturday in the Gulf of Guinea. The Army spokesman, Mohammed Yerima, said 10 foreign crew members and four Nigerians who were taken hostage were rescued in an operation off of the coasts of Nigeria and Gabon. Bandits abduct 11 Kaduna airport staff

Bandits yesterday abducted 11 residents, including six housewives and two children, of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) staff quarters in Kaduna. Some unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted the sister in-law and brother of the Sokoto State Commissioner for Youth and Sport Development, Bashir Gorau. The Niger State government has secured the release of 18 bus passengers abducted by bandits in the State. The Niger State governor, Abubakar Sani-Bello, confirmed the development on his Twitter handle yesterday.
