The Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, has accused Iran of sponsoring terrorism in Nigeria and attempting to expand its influence in West Africa through extremist movements. Speaking in an interview yesterday, Freeman alleged that some groups operating in Nigeria, including the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, receive ideological or operational backing from Tehran.
