FG begins reconstruction of Eastern rail line corridor – NRC

The Nigerian Railway Corporation, (NRC),  says the Federal Government has begun reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Eastern railway corridor. The Railway District Manager, Eastern District, Enugu, Victor Adamu, stated this while responding to a national survey conducted on abandonment of railway lines in the country, in Enugu, yesterday. Adamu said that the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the narrow gauge tracks had commenced from Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, to Aba, in Abia State. Tinubu on Eastern Rail Line

President Bola Tinubu has pledged to complete the Eastern Rail Line connecting Port-Harcourt, Rivers State to Maiduguri, in Borno State. The President committed this during an interactive session with South-East leaders in Enugu State  at the weekend. The meeting followed Tinubu’s one-day visit to Enugu, where he commissioned various projects initiated by Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.
