The Supreme Court has dismissed a suit filed by the 36 states in the federation and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, (NGF), challenging the Federal Government over the alleged diversion of ₦1.8 trillion in recovered assets. In the lead judgment yesterday, prepared by Justice Chidiebere Uwa and delivered by Justice Mohammed Idris, the apex court “held that its jurisdiction had been wrongly invoked by the plaintiffs”.
