The National Broadcasting Commission, (NBC), yesterday, said it has concluded plans to migrate Kano terrestrial broadcasting to the digital transmission before the end of this October. The NBC Director-General (D-G) of the Commission, Balarabe Shehu Ilelah, disclosed the plans in Kano during a sensitization workshop on Digital Switchover organised by the Commission for information officers and media influencers in the State. The National Broadcasting Commission, (NBC), says it is partnering with Nigerian Communications Satellite, (NIGCOMSAT), agency to accelerate the process of digital switch-over, (DSO), in the country. The National Broadcasting Commission, (NBC), says the Kano digital switchover will commence in June, with 30 television stations in the State. The Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday approved contracts worth over N26.7 billion for projects of the ministries of Information and Culture; Communications and Digital Economy, and Water Resources.
