‘We rescued Kankara schoolboys’ — Military contradicts govs on involvement of Miyetti Allah

The Defence Headquarters says the troops of ‘Operation Hadarin Daji’ successfully rescued all 344 abducted students of Government Science Secondary School, (GSS) Kankara, Katsina State.  Zamfara State governor, Bello Matawalle and his Katsina State counterpart, Aminu Bello Masari, had separately said the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association played a major role in the release of the schoolboys. Military airstrike hits bandits’ camp in Kaduna forest, kills scores

The Air Component of Operation Thunder Strike, has neutralised several armed bandits at their camp in the Kuduru forest area of Kaduna State, according the Defence Headquarters. The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja. Nigerian troops eliminate, arrest scores of bandits, rescue kidnapped victims

The Defence Headquarters says the troops of Operation Sahel Sanity have eliminated and arrested scores of bandits, cattle rustlers, kidnappers, and other criminal elements in the entire North West zone in recent time.
