Lawyers of late Attah Igala, Idakwo Michael Ameh Oboni II, have demanded retraction of the obituary of the monarch. In a letter, the lawyers, Festus Oguche and D.D. Makolo, said although the incumbent on the throne who is a mortal may be dead, the attah Igala “lives in perpetuity”. Attah of Igala, Idakwo Michael Ameh Oboni II, is dead. Sources said he died on Thursday morning at Nisa Premier Hospital in Abuja after undergoing a pile operation. The 72-year-old, who was the chairman, Kogi State traditional council, was said to have had a stroke which complicated the procedure. There is yet no official confirmation of the death because, according to sources, Yahaya Bello, the governor of the state, wants to respect tradition.
