Air Peace provided reasons on Monday for laying off pilots and supporting staff. It said the devastating effects of COVID-19 pandemic on its operations were responsible for the sack of some pilots and supporting staff in the organisation. UK denies Air Peace landing permit for evacuation of stranded Nigerians

The British Government has refused to grant Diplomatic Landing Clearance to Air Peace Limited for the purpose of evacuating Nigerians, who are stranded in the United Kingdom. This was disclosed in a statement by the spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ferdinand Nwonye this Sunday.
