NECO reschedules 2020 SSCE external exams

The National Examinations Council (NECO) on Tuesday announced a new date for commencement of its 2020 Senior Schools Certificate Examinations, SSCE (external). The National Examinations Council, (NECO), has released the results of its 2020 Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) examination it conducted throughout the country between October and November, 2020. NECO Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NECO, Prof. Godswill Obioma announced the results yesterday, in Abuja. This was revealed by the NECO Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Godswill Obioma, while speaking at the NECO headquarters in Minna, Niger State.Obioma said that 1,102,041 candidates passed at credit and above level. NECO suspends SSCE examinations, orders staff to return home

Following the deterioration of the security situation in the country occasioned by the #EndSARS protests, the National Examination Council (NECO) has stopped the conduct of the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).  It was learnt that the decision to stop the conduct of the examination followed the declaration of 24-hour curfew by some state governors, especially those of Lagos, Ogun, Edo and Imo, where the #EndSARS protest had assumed destructive dimensions. The National Examinations Council has released the date and guidelines for the conduct of its 2020 examinations. This was disclosed in a statement made on Tuesday by NECO Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, Professor Godswill Obioma, stating that the examinations will start on October 5 and end on November 18, 2020.
