No fewer than seven people have been confirmed dead after operatives of Amotekun engaged some herdsmen in Oyo State.
The incident reportedly occurred at Aiyete, in Ibarapa-North local government area of the state on Saturday.
It was gathered that men of Oyo State Security Network, also known as Amotekun Corps, engaged the Fulani herdsmen in a fight. It was learnt that the clash started at Okebi village, in Aiyete, although the cause of the fight was not ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
Seven people were reportedly killed during the clash and no fewer than seven houses razed.
Meanwhile, the Amotekun Corps commandant, Col. Olayinka Olayanju, said the Corps arrested some suspected criminals in the State.
It was however gathered that no fewer than eleven people have been killed during clashes with Amotekun Corps operatives in the last few days in the State.
