A well-known human rights activist, A’isha Yesufu, has challenged the wife of Governor Nasir Ahmed el-Rufa’i, Hajia Hadiza, to move around like any other Nigerian without security escorts.
According to her recent tweet, A’isha took out her time to reply to the governor’s wife, after Hadiza el-Rufa’i was recently reported as saying that ransom should not be paid if she gets abducted by bandits or kidnappers.
According to A’isha, Hajia Hadiza El-Rufa’i is making nonsense of herself, adding that Nigerians expect her to comment on banditry or the threat of abduction and ransom payment in the event when she becomes like any other Nigerian.
While replying the governor’s wife, the renowned activist asked to know if Hajia Hadiza has relinquished all the security agents attached to her.
According to her, the governor’s wife can’t be moving about with security operatives and still talk about being kidnapped.
“The federal government and the Kaduna State government should try and work together so as to make sure that the people of Kaduna State are well protected so that no one will be kidnapped, not even the wife of the governor”, she stated.
