President Muhammadu Buhari said if the ruling All Progressive Congres APC don’t get its act together by ensuring a rancor free national convention, the opposition will organize and take power come 2023.
Buhari made this assertion in a media chart hosted by Cyril Stober on Nigerian Television Authority NTA.
The President was responding to a question on the discordant tunes on the APC convention which was yet to hold.
Buhari said in 2015, while the People Democratic Party PDP thought it was undefeatable, the CPC, APP, APGA among others came together, formed the APC and snatched power from the PDP.
He urged APC members to respect the party hierarchy by ensuring leadership of the party are elected from the ward, Local Government and state level before the national leadership to ensure a rancor free political party.
