Niger State Government has announced an ambitious plan to embark on a massive infrastructure project for the North-Central geo-political zone.

The State Governor, Mohammed Bago, unveiled the initiative during the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 44km dual carriageway Bida Ring Road in Bida local government area in the State.
Bago disclosed that undertaking involves the construction of 250 kilometers of intra-city roads that will connect key areas within the State, including Minna, Bida, Suleija, and Kontagora.
According to him, the Bida Ring Road, a pivotal component of the Governors urban renewal agenda, is expected to act as a catalyst for economic growth, generate employment opportunities, and enhance living standards throughout the region.
He added that the project underscores the State Governments unwavering commitment to transforming the State and ushering in a new era of prosperity. His administration also pledged to strengthen security measures while enhancing healthcare and infrastructure services across the State.
Managing Director of Arab Contractors, Mohammed El-Edarous, assured of delivering a high-quality job within the stipulated timeline, instilling confidence in both the government and the people of Niger State.
Distinguished guests at the event included Senator Peter Jiya, representing Niger South; Saidu Abdullahi, Member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency; Aliyu Abdullahi, Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security; and the Chairpersons of Lavun and Bida Councils. The Galadiman Nupe, Aliyu Danjuma, represented His Royal Highness (Alh.) Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe.
