The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have traded words over the March 11, governorship election in the State.

Specifically, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the PDP of plotting to foment trouble in the State, calling on security agencies to hold the Party responsible for any breakdown of law and order.
The PDP spokesperson in the State, Yakubu Lere, however, alleged that ahead of the governorship election, the APC had bought a brand of Opel vehicles and gifted them to Islamic clerics in the State so as to preach in favour of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Uba Sani, during the Friday Jumaat sermon.
This, the PDP also warned, would trigger protests by their members which could lead to violence like what happened during Jumaat prayers in Katsina last week.
However, in a swift reaction, the APC Kaduna Campaign Council, through its Director, Strategic Communication, Ibraheem Musa, on Friday, said the PDP should be held responsible in the case of a breakdown of law and order, during and after the elections.
The APC spokesman asked that his PDP counterpart should be invited for questioning by security agents to shed more light on the looming breakdown of law and order that he had earlier warned against.
