The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP), has picked a Lagos lawyer, Ladipo Johnson, as his running-mate for the 2023 election.
Johnson was a former governorship candidate of the Alliance National Party, (ANP), in Lagos State before joining NNPP.
The party made the announcement through its official Twitter handle @nnpphqabuja1.
“Road to 2023: Bar Ladipo Johnson is the Vice Presidential candidate of our great party,” the party tweeted.
It is however unclear whether Johnson was nominated as a place-holder or substantive vice presidential candidate.
Recall that on June 16, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, unveiled the governor of Delta State Ifeanyi Okowa as his running-mate.
The ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC), candidate Bola Tinubu has reportedly submitted Ibrahim Masari as his running-mate, but sources said he would be replaced when INEC opens the replacement window.
