KPHCMB commits to training and re-training of staff

The Executive Secretary, Kano State Primary Health Care Management Board, Dr. Tijjani Hussain, has re-affirmed the Board’s commitment towards the training and retraining of its personal to make them more productive.

The Executive Secretary made the assertion at the opening of a one-day familiarisation meeting, tagged: ‘Brown Bag’, organised by the Department of Administration and finance of the Board.

Dr. Hussain further stated that the event, which is the first of its kind, will pave the way in discussing new initiatives under the Board to the staff and also to promote dialogue and information sharing.

He commended the effort of the Administration and Finance departments, for their efforts in organising the meeting and urged the participants to make judicious use of what they have learned during the session.

Earlier in his remarks, the Director of Administration and Finance, Alh. Suleiman Tanimu, stressed that the ‘Brown Bag’ staff familiarisation training is aimed at encouraging teamwork, reinforce organisational values, mission achievement as well as increase staff morale.

The Director maintained that the ‘Brown Bag’ meeting has been included in the Board monthly activities calendar adding that each department of the Board is expected to submit topics for dissemination during the training.

He further commended the Executive Secretary for his good initiative in improving the health services delivery from the grassroots as well as enhancing the staff enthusiasm and capabilities.

The meeting was attended by the Board Directors, Zonal Directors as well as other staff from various departments of the Board.
