Former senator for Kogi-West, Dino Melaye, has won the Kogi State PDP governorship primary.
He received 313 votes, beating out Idoko Ilonah, who received 124. Awoniyi Sunday had 77 votes, while Musa Wada had 56 votes
The former lawmaker will be up against the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) for the election, Kabiru Usman Ododo.
In a tension-soaked election, with protest leading to the Congress over the delegates list, the process however went on smoothly, with the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC).
