Bandits, in the early hours yesterday, invaded Fumigi Street, situated in Ungwan Galadima, Gonin Gora, Chikun local government area of Kaduna State, killing three people and abducting two women.
The chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), Kaduna chapter, Rev. John Joseph Hayab, confirmed the incident to newsmen.
He explained that the bandits operated for about an hour without any intervention by security operatives.
He stated that those killed by the bandits are Aminu Bege and his son, as well as a neighbour.
Another resident, who craved anonymity, explained that there were gunshots all over the place, explaining that the bandits operated freely and left with their abductees.
According to him, The bandits are now killing their victims in order to put fear in the people.
The State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, could not be reached for comment as calls put through to his phone were not answered.
