Bandits have again abducted 30 villagers in Unguwar Liman, Gwada community in the Igabi local government area of Kaduna State.

Residents said the victims, including housewives and kids below the age of 2, were taken to an unknown destination. The incident occurred on Sunday night, around 11 pm, when the bandits, shooting sporadically, stormed the community.
According to a resident and community leader, Jafar Anaba, on Monday night, his biological brother and other relatives were among those abducted, saying the abductors have not contacted the families of the victims. He said, “They (bandits) came into the community and took away their victims, about 30 of them. My biological brother and other relatives were among those abducted on Sunday night”.
Anaba added that residents made efforts to call for help the night of the attack and in the morning of the following day, but that there was no telecommunications network at that time.
Efforts to get the State’s Police Command’s spokesperson, ASP Mansur Hassan, for confirmation were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
