Air platforms conducted armed reconnaissance over locations in Birnin Gwari and Giwa local government areas, including: Gajere, Sabon-Kuyello, Ungwan Farinbatu, Sabuwa, Kutemeshi, Dogon-Mu’azu, Dogon-Dawa, Kidandan, Sabon-Birni, Galadimawa, Rikau, Yadi, Kuduru, Nacibi, Farin-Ruwa and adjoining settlements.
According to a press statement issued by the State’s Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, “The bandits were sighted with herds of cattle just south of Galadimawa. They were engaged and neutralised by the crew.
He further said, “Similarly, bandits were sighted at Nacibi fleeing southwards on motorcycles; they were engaged accordingly and neutralised. A group of huts was also observed to be active with bandits, and was engaged with rockets.
The statement said the State governor, Nasir el-Rufai noted the feedback with thanks and commended the crew for a successful mission.
