Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari, has banned the transportation of cattle from the State to other States in the country.
Masari issued an Executive Order to that effect and also ordered the total closure of the Jibia-Gurbin Baure road to motorists.
Kankara-Sheme road has also been closed to commercial vehicles. Masari, who said the order will become effective from today, August 31, said they are all measures are to contain the security challenges bedeviling the State.
There is also a ban on motorcycles carrying three people and tricycles carrying more than three people.
