The All Progressives Congress (APC)-controlled States have resolved to prioritise the integration of Maternal and Child Nutrition into the Primary Healthcare Delivery Services to include 6 months of exclusive breastfeeding and maternity leave.

This was contained in an issued press statement, signed by the Director-General of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, (PGF), Dr. Salihu Lukman and the Secretary to Nasarawa State government, Muhammad Aliyu, at the end of a meeting of the Secretaries to APC State governments, in Lafia, Nasarawa State
According to the statement, the APC-controlled States have also resolved to strengthen regular processes of information sharing on issues of security management among themselves, to facilitate synergy of initiatives and proactive responses.
They also recommended strengthening Security Committees at the Local Government Levels and ensuring that stakeholders, especially traditional and religious take more responsibility.
The statement stressed the need to continually mobilise resources for the legal framework for the implementation of a Security Trust Fund.
It reaffirms the commitment of APC State governments to work with the Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure that every part of Nigeria is safe.
